Went to the Barwon Club for dinner with a mate and ordered the schnitzel — gravy, vegetables, chips, the lot. Good call. The portion was seriously generous, to the point I couldn’t finish it, but every bite I did get through was excellent. Classic pub schnitzel done properly: crumbed well, gravy that actually tastes like something, and a solid tip of veg and chips so you’re not just eating meat and carbs.
If you’re heading to the Barwon Club hungry, this is a safe bet. If you’re not stupidly hungry, maybe split it or go in prepared to take leftovers home.
