Stayed here overnight after coming across on the ferry- large room was clean and comfortable but fixtures & fittings are getting old! Cracks in the bathroom sink and faux leather cracked and coming off the desk chair! Check out was with a lady that must not have been having a good day!

Spent 2 days at the Rydges Geelong. I have stayed at other locations that's why we chose again. One often gets and is led in their experiences in one's first contact. This experience was no different. We were greeted at reception by a young man who gave us a sincere and warm welcome. He was professional, respectful, polite, helpful and made the check in procedure a very pleasant experience. I say this as customer service is a dying form. Thankyou. The room we were given was on the 5th floor and along with the location of the property on a hill gave great views. The location was on the fringe of the centre of town I feel a benefit no noise but a short walk to the shops.

We had a very pleasant one-night stay at Rydges. The property appeared to have had a recent refurbishment; the lobby and restaurant were modern and up to date, rooms were bright and airy, and everything was functional. The beds were standout; seemingly quite new they were soft and comfortable, and pillows were sturdy and supportive. The staff member at check-in was fantastic, and provided me with a pedestal fan for our room at my request. While a fairly basic offering, all room facilities were clean & worked. Our room had a nice view of the bay. The open-air parking lot with quite a high daily fee is unfortunate, and the rooms do lack a safe. Being winter, we didn't have the opportunity to test the (outdoor) pool & facilities. A budget-friendly, updated hotel with comfortable beds, good for a short stay.

Clean hotel and beds were really comfortable. The food was horrible. Room service dinner was cold and well over priced. Buffet breakfast forget it. We ended up leaving the buffet breakfast and going to a Cafe. Overall nice hotel but overpriced. Next time would probably stay somewhere else due to price for what you get.
