Lovely little caff with alternative flavors to the usual smashed avo and eggs on toast. Unfortunately, they were out of crocodile and emu sausages...that's for the next adventure. Nice little art gallery and wildlife area attached. You can pat the kangaroos! Great place to take a foreigner

Always a fun family day out, Cafe Narana just completes the experience with a bit of bush Tucker influenced cuisine and delicious food made from great produce. The milkshakes are great too!! We tried the corn fritters and slow cooked kangaroo ragu wrap and the kids had a ham and cheese toastie and pancakes - all delicious!

So fortunate to spend half a day at #narana_cultural_centre today with colleagues. Started with an explore of the gift shop which quite frankly, took my breath away with art, fragrance and books. Then braved the autumnal weather and went outside to find the emus, wallabies and the one kangaroo. All of which were delightful. I see these animals all the time for work but still enjoy seeing them up close and personal. Love our Australian creatures. Our guide, Mel was magical with so much knowledge to share and a make our time special. She’s a gem. The art gallery was amazing and between us, all shared an appreciation of the talent of the artists and their work. We had lunch at #cafenarana which has an extensive menu. My corn fritters were amazing. Portion sizes large and generous as well as tasty. The wraps were enormous and full of fresh produce. Staff serving us were so friendly and delightful. Most thankful for their service. If you’re visiting, please be respectful about not taking photos in certain areas. Other things to know: Disabled friendly. Toilets on site. Good car parking. Cafe Narana offers great snacks and meals. Entry is free. Enjoy the gift shop and soak up the fragrances or candles burning throughout #narana . Thank you to everyone at #narana and meeting Uncle Vince was an absolute bonus. What an amazing man and a character. A gem. Mel, appreciate the time you spent with us. You are truly an asset to this little bit of utopia.

The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and apologized for giving us our order in take away containers - they had closed a few minutes before we arrived. The drink and cakes were lovely in a very calm and artistic cafe building. After eating and drinking at the tables with artistic aboriginal paintings in the ceiling and wood fire burning, we were on the way out the cafe door and purchased a $3 cup of seed and feed for the emus, wallabies, kangaroo and ducks. We walked through to their animal habitat and it's beautifully set up with the well-being of the animals at the forefront. I saw a family bothering the wallabies, who were tired and had probably eaten enough of the feed for the day. They referred closer and closer and the wallaby gave every indication it wasn't interested. Finally, the wallaby hopped away and I was pleased it had the room so do so. There's a cultural center and a library - of course the focus is on the experience of life in Australia from an indigenous perspective.

Really unique place to visit in Geelong. Getting to pet the local Kangaroo was the highlight.
