The Hot Chicken Project

Walked past the HCP on Saturday night! Was welcomed in and had our order taken on some burgers and drinks. Wasn’t convinced for the amount we spent on 2 burgers and 2 drinks which we had placed our order for. The burgers were massive but lacked flavour sadly. The Hot sauce wasn’t as HOT even after asking for it to be spiced up. I loved the space and what they’ve done with it , lots of volume and room which felt really nice. If the burgers were worked on a bit more and presentation too It would be worth the price. The okra fried balls were not as impressive as I thought they would be. I was expecting them to have a bit of taste. The cheese put in the buns felt like they were just slapped on from a supermarket. Presentation would have made a whole lot of difference. Can surely do much better!

Paired a medium spicy Mac Daddy with a Raspberry sour beer. It was a most welcome dinner after a flustering day of travelling for work. Staff were very personable and friendly. Good spot for a decent feed.

Got the special - buffalo burger - with ‘chunky blue cheese’ Initially thought I had been brought the wrong burger as no blue cheese, chunky or not, to be seen, when I enquired they took it back and loaded it up with more ?mayo that was the blue cheese sauce. Needless to say - very misleading burger option. Staff at least tried to be helpful.

Wanted to grab a quick bite before the game on Saturday afternoon and wanted to try somewhere new. I have to say I was left disappointed and wished I had waited to get a Chicken Burger from Food Truck at GMHBA. Firstly the presentation just a little underwhelming. The lack of flavour left me really disappointed, and I have to say also that when the breading came of the chicken, the meat felt a tad slimey and was not enjoyable. Considering this is a place that specialises in Chicken it should have been so much better. Friendly staff and a cute little place. A side note. My husband will always finish a meal whether he likes it or not. This is the first time I have seen my husband leave half a burger. This place could be so much better.

Chicken burger fillet was disgusting, the breading was so tough to bite it was like cardboard, chicken was chewy and stringy it was horrible. Bun was a soggy oily mess. $26 for a burger with about 20 fries was not worth it. Brocolli side dish was delicious though. Service was immaculate though.
