Sir Charles Hotham Hotel

The Sir Charles Hotham Hotel is a traditional corner pub at 3 Brougham Street, Geelong, on the corner of Cavendish and Brougham Streets. Its own website sets out separate Bar, Dining and Functions sections and lists trading Tuesday to Saturday from 11am until late, closed Sunday and Monday, so check before you go.

There has been a hotel on this corner since the 1850s. The Victorian Heritage Inventory records it opening in 1854 as the Cavendish, later known as the Grigsby, in a large two-storey brick corner building, with renovations in the 1920s and 1930s. The hotel’s own website gives 1927 as its establishment date.
